One cool thing about my Uncle Arthur was that he could always pick the best places to camp. One time, we went to Garrison Rock. Uncle Arthur said that the Indians stayed there. On trips like this, he would always have a good story totell. His stories were always aimed at helping us children use our brains to get out of trouble. For example, one story was about a guy being chased by a big dog. They ran into a field. We kids were thinking that the dog would catch him. But the guy saw a bathtub in the field. He ran to the bathtub and pulled it over himself. The dog just barked and barked until it went away. Then the guy came out of the bathtub, and went home.::Arthur 삼촌의 한 가지 멋진 점은 그가 항상 야영하기에 가장 좋은 장소를 고를 수 있다는 것이었다. 우리는 언제가 한 번 Garrison Rock에 갔었다. Arthur 삼촌은 그곳에 인디언들이 머물렀다고 말했다. 이와 같은 여행에서 그에게는 들려줄 멋진 이야기가 항상 있곤 했다. 그의 이야기는 항상 아이인 우리가 곤경에서 벗어나기 위해 우리의 머리를 쓰도록 돕는 데에 목표를 두었다. 예를 들어 한 이야기는 큰 개에게 쫓기고 있던 한 남자에 관한 것이었다. 그들(개와 남자)은 들판으로 달렸다. 아이인 우리는 그 개가 그 남자를 따라잡을 것으로 생각하고 있었다. 그러나 그 남자는 들판에서 욕조를 보았다. 그는 욕조로 달려가 그것을 뒤집어썼다. 그 개는 계속 짖어대다가 결국은 가 버렸다. 그런 다음 그 남자는 욕조에서 나와 집으로 갔다.
