Having been guided to a small desk surrounded by dividers, I sat. It was my first day. Everyone in the office seemed busy and no one even looked at me. It felt as if no one knew I was there. I wanted to ask someone a question, but there wasn't anyone I could possibly talk to. I felt invisible. After lunch, I returned to my desk and found a bouquet of flowers on my desk. Then, a coworker at the desk next to mine came over. She said she couldn't greet me earlier because of an urgent issue that morning. She added that she was excited to work with me. She introduced me to the rest of the team, and I received warm greetings from everyone.
